Beef, Bean and Cashew with Rice

Step 1: Take 500 grams of diced beef and sprinkle about 1 teaspoon of bi-carb soda on and mix well, let sit for 20 minutes in a fridge. After the 20 minutes rinse off well and pat dry.

 

Step 2: Marinade your meat in your favourite flavours and sauces, for this particular dish we use soy sauce, white pepper, salt, mirin, sesame oil, oyster sauce and corn flour. The amount is up to you but we recommend 3 table spoons of soy and oyster sauce, 1 table spoon of mirin, 1 teaspoon of sesame oil and 1 table spoon of corn flour. salt and pepper are to taste. Let the meat marinade in half of the mixture for an additional 15 minutes.

 

Step 3: Heat your wok to a high heat and add some peanut oil to coat it nicely, then add your meat for about 2 minutes and continuously stir, then add your vegetables of choice. In this recipe we use green beans and onions.

 

Step 4: Once sautéed add a 1/4 cup of water and the rest of your sauce mixture, you may need to add more corn flour to thicken it up. Once the sauce is heated through add about 100 grams of Cashews and cook for another minute.

 

Step 5: Once done set aside and place rice in a bowl and place your meal on top and serve immediately.
