The leg is divided into two different segments, which includes the drumstick and the thigh. With a full leg you get both the thigh and the drumstick together, but both of these can be butchered and sold separately. Roasted chicken Leg:
For an easy dinner idea, consider putting roasted chicken legs with potatoes and a few vegetables all together and cooking them in the oven. Simply season the chicken with salt and pepper, sprinkle paprika and any other spice you like over the top then put into an oven at 220° with a light sprinkling of olive oil over both the vegetables and chicken. Start by cutting each chicken leg straight to the bone to ensure the legs will cook evenly. Mix together your very own sauce and seasoning and coat each chicken leg accordingly. Try adding cider vinegar, brown sugar, hot sauce, ground pepper and barbecue sauce to make the perfect coating. Start on the barbecue on low heat, flipping the chicken legs over every so often. You can also start cooking them in the oven at 200° with vegetable oil as well. A chicken leg cooked on the grill takes around 30 minutes.
