So what makes our chicken so tender, succulent and delicious? We process ours chemical free. La Ionica chicken’s unique taste and quality is due to the innovative process we use on each bird. We use the premium European method of “air chilling”, a process which does not involve the use of traditional spin–chillers filled with ice water and chlorine. All La Ionica chickens travel along a refrigeration line where they are chilled with cool, natural air until their deep muscle temperature reaches 0 degrees Celsius.

The spin-chiller process tends to alter the appearance, texture and taste of chicken. Our air-chilling process is what ensures all La Ionica chickens maintain their healthy pink appearance, great natural texture and flavor, giving you “the real taste of chicken”.
